1. See the Sydney Opera House and harbour bridge

Take the underground to Cicular Quay, the place where the swirling pacific meets the city and Sydney opera house and harbour bridge jut out creating a postcard backdrop. You can buy tickets to have a look round inside, or go and see a real life Opera show.

2. Visit the Blue Mountains

One of NSW’s most treasured nature reserves, the blue mountians are breathtaking and can be seen on a daytrip out of the city. You can grab a Blue Mountians explorer pass at any of the train stations in Sydney.

3. Take a surf lesson

Sydney is a great place to take a surf lesson and Mojo surf offer a fun surfing day trip. Yeew!

4. Visit the beaches

Charcterised by its swimming pools jutting out into the foaming pacific, Bondi beach is one of the most famous beaches in the world and a must see. Take the Bondi to Coogee walk and see some of the smaller beaches, finishing off at Coogee – bustling with friendly backpackers.

5. Sydney tower

With a height of 250 meters and situated in the middle of the city, enter the observation deck for a 360 degree view.

6. Visit Darling Harbour

A destination of entertainment, waterfront dining, cocktail, wine bars and late night dancing, darling harbour is one of Sydneys tourist hot spots.

7. Visit one of the many wildlife parks

Sydney has a wide range of Zoo’s and aquariums where you can have a close look at the Australian wildlife. Some favourites are: Taronga Zoo, Sydney Aquarium and WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo.

8. Take a ride at Luna Park

The amusement park was built in 1935 and is listed on the State Heritage Register. It is free entrance, so you can have a look at the attractions, walk around cotton candy in hand and soak up the atmosphere.

9. Shopping and Museums

Like most cities, Sydney boasts a great shopping district in the city centre, and museums to learn about the cities history.

10. Take a ferry across to Manly

Manly is a Sydney Suburb which can be reached by ferry, quieter than the rest of the city, it is home to some underatted small beaches with more of a european vibe. There are also some great cliff jumping spots.
