Overview
STARTS FIRST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH ONLY
Our surf development courses are the ultimate learn to surf experiences. During your time at our Mojosurf Camp Canggu you will be totally focused on improving your technical skills, ocean experience, ocean awareness, fitness, and living the life of a surfer will become main priority. Our surf camps have multiple waves that work on slightly different tides, wind and swell directions, providing a range of waves for beginner to advanced surfers.
Our aim is to challenge and coach you through various levels of your development to help transform you into a competent surf instructor.
3 Month Surf Academy – Become a Surfer
The 3 month surf development course facilitates the development of the following skills:
- Practical development of beginner to intermediate surf skills
- Ocean safety, ocean awareness, fitness training
- Access to a variety of waves
- Expert instruction by qualified coaches to achieve catching, riding, and turning on unbroken waves
- Increased surf theory, and exposure to more challenging waves
- Increased ocean fitness, paddling power and confidence
- Provide up to 40 hours of practical coaching experience
- Use of video analysis to improve surfing techniques
To become a Level 1 Surf Instructor you must attend all classes, demonstrate the required surf skills, be found competent in the qualifications.
*Please check visa requirements with your Embassy. Most countries allow you to purchase a 30 day visa on arrival that may be extended by an additional 30 days without leaving the country. If you do NOT purchase this visa and get the 30 day FREE visa and you stay longer than 30 days you will need to leave the country in order to extend your visa. Make note you will need to renew your visa at your own expense to complete the 3 months – suggestion on dates can be given by the Mojosurf team.
An addition of $750 USD is required at the time of the ASI exam ($800 in April 24)

Faq
Are the meals and accommodations included on weekends?
Accommodation and most meals are provided for in the 3 Month Surf Academy Instructor Course excluding weekends where you have free time to take part in activities, practise your surf skills and explore the local area. The different locations have many optional activities during your stay including other activities.
Weekends spent in the Red Island camp and Nusa Lembongan include all meals at our fantastic restaurant serving up local spreads.
Do I need to bring my own wetsuit and board?
No we supply all the equipment for you including surf boards, wetsuits, rash vests and sunscreen. If you decided that you would like to purchase your own equipment the surf academy staff can assist in helping you choose the most appropriate surf equipment and surf boards from local shapers and surf shops.
I am not very fit, will I still be able to join?
You will become very fit by the end of your Academy package! It’s a good idea to start some swim training if you can before the Academy but if you don’t get around to it we will whip you into shape in no time!

The 3 Month Surf Academy Course package starts on the first Sunday of every month in Canggu, Bali with pick up from Denpasar Airport and transfers between islands included.
Accommodation
Mojosurf Camp Canggu
Nestled amongst the rice fields about 10km away from the busy streets of Kuta is the small village of Canggu. In Canggu you will experience a relaxing atmosphere with fantastic local and Western food alike along with plentiful waves that suit all levels from beginner friendly to advanced chargers.
Mojosurf Bali Surf Camp is a brand new 2017 built hostel in Canggu where you will experience the best surf lessons, meet new friends and immerse yourself in the Mojosurf experience in Bali in a fun and safe environment. Mojosurf is much more than a surf camp with so many options including yoga classes or jump on a surf adventure for an experience of a lifetime.
Mojosurf Camp Lombok
The Mojosurf camp Lombok is located in beautiful Gerupuk. Set high on a cliff top and overlooking the clear blue waters of the bay, the camp has an onsite restaurant and bar. Just 2 mins walk and you are in the heart of the village Have an awesome experience at our Surf Camp in Lombok! Immerse yourself into the surf culture, surfing during the day, eating amazing food, enjoying happy hour at the Camp then chill out at night with the Mojo crew.
Known for its stunning beaches and awesome surf, Lombok is a tropical island to the East of Bali. Enjoy dramatic scenery, varied surf breaks, delicious food, beach parties and local culture.
Mojosurf Camp Nusa Lembongan
The tropical island Nusa Lembongan is located just off the south-east coast of Bali, between Bali and Lombok. Take in the jaw-dropping views from the pool of our Mojosurf camp, overlooking the many surf breaks of the area. Surf and/or snorkel during the day and in the evening explore the local village and enjoy some of the many great restaurants and bars.
The accommodation consists of shared and private rooms, all with modern facilities such as air-con, western amenities, comfortable beds and spectacular views of crystal clear water and white sandy beaches.
Mojosurf Camp Red Island, Java
Known to the locals as Pulau Merah, Red Island is situated on the Grajagan Peninsula in the Alas Purwo National Park of Java. It is one of the last true frontiers of uncrowded waves in Indonesia, offering a real off the beaten track local surfing experience.
Mojosurf Camp Red Island is located across from a stunning white sand beach next to a remote village. You will pinch yourself when you’re surfing in the perfect, uncrowded waves surrounded by the most picturesque landscape. Due the shape of the coastline there is always a soft gentle wave for first time surfers or longboard lovers, with other spots on the beach offering unspoiled barrels and shore breaks for just you and your mates to share.
The accommodation is situated a stones throw away from the beach, and offers both dorm options and private Indonesian style bungalows. All with Western style amenities, fans, air-con and Wi-Fi on offer in the common area. After surfing all day you can relax and unwind under a palm tree in a hammock with a cold beer or chill in the infinity pool looking out over one of the most untouched beaches in the world.
