3 Month Surf Academy – Become a Surfer

The 3 month surf development course facilitates the development of the following skills:

• Practical development of beginner to intermediate surf skills
• Ocean safety, ocean awareness, fitness training
• Access to a variety of waves
• Expert instruction by qualified coaches to achieve catching, riding, and turning on unbroken waves
• Increased surf theory, and exposure to more challenging waves
• Increased ocean fitness, paddling power and confidence
• Provide up to 40 hours of practical coaching experience
• Use of video analysis to improve surfing techniques

To become a Level 1 Surf Instructor you must attend all classes, demonstrate the required surf skills, be found competent in the qualifications.

If you do NOT purchase this visa and get the 30 day FREE visa and you stay longer than 30 days you will need to leave the country in order to extend your visa. Make note you will need to renew your visa at your own expense to complete the 3 months – suggestion on dates can be given by the Mojosurf team.

An addition of $750 USD is required at the time of the ASI exam ($800 in April 24)

Are the meals and accommodations included on weekends?

Accommodation and most meals are provided for in the 3 Month Surf Academy Instructor Course excluding weekends where you have free time to take part in activities, practise your surf skills and explore the local area. The different locations have many optional activities during your stay including other activities.

Weekends spent in the Red Island camp and Nusa Lembongan include all meals at our fantastic restaurant serving up local spreads.

Do I need to bring my own wetsuit and board?

No, we supply all the equipment for you including surf boards, wetsuits, rash vests. If you prefer to bring your own wetsuit you can do so. If you decide that you would like to purchase your own equipment, the surf academy staff can assist in helping you choose the most appropriate surf equipment and surf boards from local shapers and surf shops. Surfboard wax and sunscreen is not included.

I am not very fit, will I still be able to join?

You will become very fit by the end of your Academy package! It’s a good idea to start some swim training if you can before the Academy but if you don’t get around to it we will whip you into shape in no time!

The 3 Month Surf Academy Course package starts on the first Sunday of every month in Canggu, Bali with pick up from Denpasar Airport and transfers between islands included.
