Read more →How much does a surf camp cost? It depends on where you go, how long you stay and what is in the package. This guide puts our trips in Australia, Bali & Beyond and Portugal side by side, with the price each trip page shows and what each one includes.
About these prices: they are the “from” prices shown on mojosurf.com in October 2026, written exactly as each trip page displays them and in the currency used there (A$, US$ or €). Where a page says “From”, the figure is a starting price. Prices can change, so follow the link to each trip page for the current price.
What affects the cost
Every trip page lists what is and isn’t included. These are the main differences between our packages:
- Length of stay. On Surf & Stay trips you choose how many days you stay, and the number of lessons goes up with it. On Surf & Stay Bali, for example, a 3 day stay includes 2 lessons and an 8 day stay includes 7.
- Room type. Most packages include shared accommodation. Some trip pages list other options: the 7 Day Nusa Lembongan trip mentions a private upgrade on availability and request, and Surf & Stay Ericeira lists female dorms, private double rooms and more options on request.
- Meals. Our Surf & Stay packages in Bali & Beyond include breakfast, Surf & Stay Spot X includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Surf & Stay Byron Bay includes no meals.
- Lessons included. Stay packages bundle surf lessons with accommodation. If you only want lessons, Surf Lessons from Byron Bay runs from a half day to 5 days, with pick up and equipment included.
- Transfers. The 7 day adventures to Nusa Lembongan, Lombok and Red Island include ferry and car transfers, and the 7 Day Canggu Surf Adventure includes a VIP airport transfer from DPS (arrival or departure). The Surf & Stay packages in Bali, Lombok and Red Island don’t include transport.

Extra costs to plan for
These come from the “not included” lists on our trip pages:
- Lunch and dinner on both Red Island trips, Surf & Stay Ericeira, the Surf Academy courses in Indonesia and the 7 Day Portugal Surf Adventure (apart from the pizza and BBQ nights). Surf & Stay Byron Bay includes no meals.
- Getting to camp. Transport isn’t included on Surf & Stay Bali (transfers from the Kuta area and Ngurah Rai International Airport are available, with prices on the trip page), Lombok Surf & Stay, the 3-5 Night Red Island camp or Surf & Stay Byron Bay (transport to the Arts Factory Lodge Hostel). On Surf & Stay Spot X, transport to and from the camp isn’t included, but pick up and drop off at the Arrawarra bus stop is. For Surf & Stay Ericeira, transport to and from WOT Ericeira is available on request, and the 7 Day Portugal Surf Adventure doesn’t include transport to and from the airport.
- Activities and gear. Activity packs at Spot X are extra, extra activities aren’t included on the 1 and 2 Month Surf Academy courses in Indonesia, and equipment for the free-surf sessions isn’t included on the 7 Day Portugal Surf Adventure.
