  • Came here while travelling with my friend Hanna! I had surfed a few times before but after the academy i feel like i progressed a lot. I really liked the surflessons each morning because theres no one else in the water and the conditions are always the best then. The instructors talk about the conditions and then there is some theory about the ocean or manoeuvres that you focus on that day. Everything together makes you feel more comfortable in the water and improved my surfing a lot. I loved the people in academy, it felt like a little family! One day I will come back:)

    Tabea P. · · 1 Month Surf Academy Australia

  • Stayed for a month, came with a friend! This was my favourite month in Australia! Really cool people in academy and overall in the camp as well! The surfing is great, really enjoyed the lessons every morning, always went surfing with most of the academy people in the afternoon and weekends as well! At night you can just hang out around the campfire or do the activities! I progressed my surfing a lot in 1 month and I made great friends for life!

    Hanna H. · · 1 Month Surf Academy Australia

  • Great instructors, a lot of good tips and individual attention whenever you need it. Stayed in our own academy house with a big group of people, good times! Parties every week, really liked the open mic nights as well. Will be back for sure!

  • I did the 1 month academy and I loved it! The academy group really feels like a little family. I improved my surfing a lot, you have your academy lessons every day of the week when the conditions are the best. There is also surf theory classes and fitness 2 times a week. On friday they show the videos that have been taken and you analyse your surfing with the whole group, which is super useful! Theres also always nice and funny pictures so the video analysis is always one of the favourite parts of the week. I really came here to improve my surfing but next to the surfing the vibes are so good! The camp was my favourite part of travelling in australia so I extended for 2 weeks before going home. I probably will come back soon again!!!

  • I did 1 month of the academy cadet program and I absolutely loved it! I ended up staying another two months just because of the surf, the place and how the people made me feel. I worked in the photo team which allowed me to spend a lot of time on the beach. The people in photo team and the staff at Spot X in general are always very open and welcoming and till this day they are some of my very best friends. I am definitely coming back later this year so I can improve my surfing even further. I would recommend everybody who loves to surf and meet new people to go to Spot X for at least a month of academy, because you'll have the time of your life!

    Kirstine F. · · 1 Month Surf Academy Australia

  • I did the 2-month program and I didn't want to leave. I really improved my surfing and that made me love it more. the academy group feels like a little family and the vibe is really laid back. I made some really good friends and I definitely will be back.

    Jet B. · · 2 Month Surf Academy Australia

  • I had the best time here doing the three months academy program. The instructors were really nice and always helpful. I lived with amazing people and made some friends for life. The food was delicious and every night there was something different. The instructor lessons were a lot of fun and the instructors really helped me with how to be a good instructor and gave a lot of tips especially outside of the instructor lessons (e.g. during lessons or free surf). If I struggled with something, I could always talk to them at anytime and they gave me great advice.
The fitness program was a good preparation for the qualifications and also to get in shape. I really enjoyed the yoga classes.
I would recommend this place to anybody who wants to learn how to surf, be an instructor or just enjoy life.
    Yeeew ?

Rosalie R. · · 3 Month Surf Instructor Course Australia

  • I stayed for 5 days Surf & stay! I started travelling in Australia and wanted to visit a friend that works in Spot X! Everything was organised really well, from the bus that dropped us of at camp to all the meals and accomodation. I never surfed before and even though I’m not that good at it, I loved my week at spot x because of all the great people that make you feel like your part of the family. Besides the surfing there are also other activities, I would definitely reccomend the ocean rafting!

    Tjitske O. · · Surf and Stay Spot X

  • Having never surfed before, I started my 1 month academy in november. I arrived by myself and felt at home straight away. Staying in the academy house with the other academy students for me meant a lot of surfs as often and whenever I wanted, a lot of fun nights and new friends for life! The food was great and staff is super friendly and enthusiastic. The surfinstructors really look at what you’re doing and help you improve wave after wave.
Overall, great vibes and a good time, so I decided to come back for 2 more months!
