The Mojosurf Sustainable Trip A is a sustainable tourism package starting in Canggu, Bali and travelling to the remote Red Island, Java with involvement in community programs assisting with English language, beach clean ups and learning about turtle conservation in Indonesia. All accommodation is included with your travel adventure starting at Mojosurf Camp Canggu before heading to the remote Red Island in Java where you will stay at Mojosurf Red Island Surf Camp and head out on day trips to Ijen Volcano, rafting at Badeng Adventure Park, Turtle Sanctuary Tour and Kalibaru Coffee Plantation. There will also be overnight stays at the day trips in guest house accommodation. See itinerary for further detail. Mojosurf Sustainable Trip A is a 2 week adventure to Bali, Red Island and surrounding remote islands.

Trip B incorporates more options to surf whilst participating in sustainable tourism programs with trips to Lombok and Nusa Lembongan.

Trip C is for those wanting a longer trip combining Trip A and B for an epic 4 week adventure.

BEGINS THE FIRST THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH Pickups are included from Denpasar Airport to the Mojosurf Camp in Canggu, Bali. Please confirm flight details and pick up time 48 hours prior to travel. Local accommodation pickups in the Kuta/Canggu area are also available. Please ensure you have submitted your flight itineraries or hotel accommodation location.

  1. Day 1 Canggu, Bali

    Arrive Bali – Transfer to Canggu Accommodation – private airport pick-up is included for Mojosurf pax through the day, as well as local accommodation pickups in the Kuta/Canggu area. Please ensure you have submitted your flight itineraries or hotel accommodation location. 16:00 Welcome Orientation (Introductions, Itinerary, Dinner) Meet your Mojo Guide and Orca program leader, as well as all of the other crew for your trip! 18:00 Welcome Sunset Dinner & Drinks Meals – L/D Accomm – Mojosurf Canggu Camp

  2. Day 2 Day trip to Ubud, English Lessons Workshop

    08:00 Breakfast & How to Give English Lessons workshop – Volunteer training workshops -> How To Give English Lessons – hosted by ORCA365 guides. This is activity is to get us on track for our time in Pulau Merah aka Red Island! 10:30 Depart for Ubud Day Trip Ubud Day trip with visits to Tegalalang Rice Terrace, Kintmani village, plus views Batur and Lake Batur 18:00 Dinner in Ubud @ Local Warung 19:00 Return to Mojosurf Camp Canggu Accommodation Meals- B/L/D

  3. Day 3 Surf, Transfer to Red Island Camp

    08:00 Early morning surf, then enjoy a quick cooked breakfast Mid-morning transfer to Pulau Merah (Red Island) We’ll be taking a packed lunch for the drive, and stopping along the way. At the mid-point of the trip we have a ferry transfer from Bali->East Java. Most ferries have snacks available onboard. If you’re hungry, just let us know and we’ll stop at any of the amazing warungs (small café/shops) along the way! 16:00 Arrive Red Island & Check-In to your accommodation! 17:00 Community meeting – Meet with local community members, and learn more about the true local culture. 18:00 Community Dinner – Dinner off-site in local Warung (Restaurant). Eat like a local, with the locals. 20:00 Beach Party @ Red Island w/ Local Music Meals – B/L/D Accomm – Mojosurf Camp Red Island

  4. Day 4 English Training, Local Village Tour

    09:00 Volunteer training -> Continuing English Language Training: Identifying student strengths + weaknesses. This is run by ORCA365 guides and accredited TEFL teacher 11:00 Local Village Tour -> Head out for a guided walk around the accommodation, and learn about the local businesses. We’ll point out all the basics you need to be super comfortable over the next few weeks such as the grocery store and clothing shops. We’ll also grab a fresh coconut or two to drink along the way! 16:00 English Lessons w/ Students at Mojosurf Red Island Camp. All English Lessons will be approximately 1.5-2hrs in duration. On the first day – expect to learn some of the local language! Your Orca Program Leader is with you the whole time for support. Meals – B/L/D Accomm – Mojosurf Camp Red Island

  5. Day 5 Coffee Plantation, Rafting, Ijen Volcano

    9:00 Depart Red Island after breakfast for Kalibaru Coffee Plantation w/ Sampling. We’ll learn about local farming techniques, types of coffee, the importance of soil and much more. Local business is good business! After the tour we’ll find a comfortable place nearby to have some lunch (included in the day). 13:00 After Lunch, hop onto the transfer for Songgon at Badeng Adventure Park Rafting for a half day paddle down the river. If you’re not the strongest paddler, don’t worry! The river does most of the work. 14:30 Arrive Songgon at Badeng Adventure Park, and begin the adventure! 17:00 Rafting ends, Private Van Transfer to Ijen Volcano Accommodation (5pm, early dinner and sleep) 18:30 Arrive at Ijen Volcano Hike Accommodation Meals – B/L/D Accomm – Guest House accommodation – typically two per room. Wifi access available at accommodation.

  6. Day 6 Hike Mt Ijen, Afternoon at Red Island

    01:00 Early Start – Transfer from accomm for hike up Mount Ijen 02:30 Arrive at Mount Ijen We’re not going to lie to you here – this is a pretty hard uphill hike. It takes a couple hours of uphill walking, but at the top we’re potentially greeted by an amazing light show. 07:00 Return to base of Mt. Ijen 07:30 Return to Hostel for Breakfast & a quick nap if needed, or explore the area 11:00 Check out of Hostel, Board transfer to Red Island 14:00 Return to Red Island for Lunch Free Afternoon – Activities available such as surf, free time, village work, hike. Some at an extra cost. 18:00 After dinner, English Lessons w/ Students. Lessons are at Red Island Surf Camp. Program leader will be present at all lessons to ensure volunteers have support.   7. Day 7 Turtle Sanctuary Tour

    9:00 Free Morning 13:00 Depart for Turtle Sanctuary Tour in the Sukamade Beach 4 wheel drives. Approx. 6 people per vehicle. We will split up into two vehicles if numbers are more than 6 – don’t worry though! If we’re taking 2 vehicles, 1 will have the ORCA365 guide or Mojosurf Guide from the camp! 17:00 Arrive Turtle Sanctuary **Overnight at sanctuary Day Includes 4 wheel drive tour/transfers, Warung meals, and guesthouse accommodation. Wifi access is limited – some mobile phone companies will have reception, but some please consider this day as mostly “Off The Grid.” staff will have access to phonelines in case of emergency. Meals – B/L/D Accommodation at Sukamade Guesthouse (2-4 pax per room)

  8. Day 8 Turtle Conservation

    04:00 Turtle Sanctuary Viewing – Wake up early to meet with the rangers who will update you on the amazing conservation work they’re doing to help the threatened Sea Turtle. You can view turtles on beach before sunrise (Watch for turtle hatchings! It’s nature so there is no gurantee but very common to see them). We quite often have eggs and/or turtles in the refuge (again no gurantee because once they’re ready for release we let them go). 08:00 Breakfast 09:00 Transfer back to Red Island 12:00 Arrive Red Island 13:00 Lunch, Then Free Afternoon 17:30 Dinner 18:30 Sunset Beach Soccer Meals B/L/D Accommodation – Mojosurf Camp Red Island

  9. Day 9 G-Land Tour

    08:00 Breakfast 9:00 After breakfast, depart for G-Land Tour – Including Monkey Forest, Temple Photography, Animal Viewing Platform. Packed lunch provided on departure from camp. It’s a 2 hour drive with multiple stops along the way for photo opportunities. 03:00 Return from G-Land Tour 18:00 Evening English Lessons w/ Students after dinner @ Camp Meals – B/L/D Accommodation – Mojosurf Red Island Camp

  10. Day 10 Mt Bromo Tour

    09:00 Breakfast 10:00 Depart for Mount Bromo (Packed lunch on the road) 16:00 Arrive Mt. Bromo Accommodation / Check In 17:00 Tour of Area and Group Dinner @ Local Warung Meals – B/L/D Accommodation – Café Lava Hostel

  11. Day 11 Mt Bromo Climb, Cemoro Lawang Crater

    03:30 Depart Accommodation for guided Mt Bromo Climb – Seruni Point 2 Hour Hike to Summit Cemoro Lawang Crater – 2 Additional Hours 08:00 Return to Accommodation 11:00 Check out of accommodation, depart for Red Island 17:00 Arrive Red Island Meals – B/L/D Accommodation – Mojosurf Red Island Camp

  12. Day 12 English Lessons, Group Beach Clean Up

    08:00 Breakfast 09:00 English Lessons w/ Students 12:00 Lunch 13:00 Group Beach Clean-up + Red Island Rocks Walk with the locals from the community & ORCA program leaders.   13. Day 13 Lost Paradise Beach - Snorkel, Swim, Explore

    09:00 Breakfast 10:00 Depart for Lost Paradise Beach and Island Snorkelling after breakfast. Today is primarily spent away from the camp, and there’s not many facilities around. We’ll be back before dinner and provide an awesome lunch – but please bring lots of snacks and water! We’re headed out for a short 45 minute boat trip to a secluded bay. We’ll have the chance to swim, snorkel, and explore the area. Meals – B/L/D Accommodation – Mojosurf Camp Red Island

  14. Day 14 Community Beach Clean Up

    09:00 After breakfast the volunteers will meet with the program leader for an assessment on English Programs (Strengths/Weaknesses) and then on to a Community Beach Clean-up. The Red Island / Mojosurf staff will help recruit the community for this event. Afterwards, we’ll sort through all the plastic from today & day 12, and talk with the ORCA365 program leader about the materials found, alternative uses, and their impact on the future health of the planet. Mojosurf Camp Canggu

The 14 Day Mojosurf Sustainable Trip A begins in Canggu, Bali. On arrival you will have a welcome orientation where you will meet your Mojosurf Guide, ORCA365 Team Leader and rest of the crew for your trip. Followed by welcome sunset dinner and drinks where you can relax and get to know the rest of your group. This tour includes 3 nights at Mojosurf Camp Canggu, 2 nights at the beginning and 1 night at the end of your trip. The surf camp has a swimming pool and modern facilities with comfortable twin beds, hot water, air conditioning and Wi-Fi. enjoy a surf lesson before you leave for Red Island, Java

Red Island Surf Camp, Java

For the remainder of your trip Mojosurf Camp Red Island  will be your base from where you will get to travel to remote places, participate in conservation programs, learn how to volunteer to teach English, visit the monkey forest, see a coffee plantation and travel by 4WD to the turtle sanctuary - this is an action packed itinerary. Mojosurf Red Island Surf Camp is right on the beach surrounded by tropical palm trees with plenty of areas to relax and explore. 4WD to the Turtle Sanctuary and Stay at Sukamade Guest House

On Day 4 you will visit the Turtle Sanctuary at Sukamade Beach in Meru Betiri National Park, travelling by 4WD from Banyuwangi to Sukamade, a remote place where you can see turtle conservation programs in place.
