Byron and its surroundings are famous for its incredible hidden waterfalls and natural destinations. The view from Minyon Falls lookout is truly the best in the area; not only of the falls themselves, but on a clear day you might be lucky to see all the way out to the coast. From the lookout, watch the cascades flow over Minyon Falls to a deep palm-shaded gorge roughly 100m below. The tops of the cliffs are forested with Australian eucalyptus and bustling wildlife
Broken Head Tea Tree Lake
The Broken Head Tea Tree lakes are an amazing freshwater destination that many locals make a pilgrimage to, a place where they can settle their minds escape the hustle and bustle of modern life., When Tea Tree plants grow beside a lake, their supernatural oil drips down into the water, creating something similar to a ‘medical bath’. It colours the water so it looks like a cup of tea with an oily film on top.
